Callori Palace
Just a short walk from Cà Ridens, in the heart of Vignale Monferrato and surrounded by the UNESCO-listed hills of Monferrato, stands the majestic Palazzo Callori, one of the most emblematic historic residences of the village.
Built between the 17th and 18th centuries, the palace was the elegant home of the noble Callori family of Vignale. Its imposing façade, grand staircase and refined interiors still echo the prestige and cultural importance that shaped the history of this land.
Inside, frescoed halls and noble rooms reveal the architectural spirit of Piedmontese aristocracy, while underground lie the remarkable infernot — hand-carved wine cellars dug into the tuff stone, unique to the Monferrato region and recognized as part of the UNESCO World Heritage landscape. These intimate underground spaces were traditionally used to preserve wine and today remain one of the most fascinating elements of local heritage.
For many years, Palazzo Callori hosted the Regional Enoteca of Monferrato, celebrating iconic wines such as Barbera, Grignolino and Ruché — names that continue to define the identity of this territory.
Visiting Palazzo Callori during your stay at Cà Ridens means stepping into centuries of history, art and wine culture — a natural extension of the experience you live within the villa itself.
