Just a few kilometers from Vignale Monferrato, surrounded by woodland and rolling hills, lies one of Piedmont’s most evocative landmarks: the Sacro Monte di Crea.
Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this remarkable religious and natural complex offers a unique experience where spirituality, art and landscape blend harmoniously.

The Sacred Mount is composed of 23 chapels, built between the 16th and 17th centuries, narrating the life of the Virgin Mary through statues and frescoes of extraordinary craftsmanship.
Each chapel is immersed in a serene natural park, where shaded paths wind through ancient trees and open onto breathtaking views across the Monferrato hills.

The journey culminates at the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Crea, an ancient place of devotion traditionally founded by Saint Eusebius in the 4th century. From the sanctuary’s terrace, the panorama stretches across the countryside and, on clear days, reaches the Alpine horizon.

A visit to Sacro Monte during your stay at Cà Ridens offers a moment of quiet reflection — whether you come for the cultural heritage, the scenic walks, or simply to experience the profound beauty of this landscape.
